Is the synclavier any good when it comes to producing analog style sounds? and what kind of filters does it have?

The Synclavier does not have any filters although you can connect external filter units to the CV outputs or MIDI outs to have them controlled by the Synclavier.  The 8 bit synthesis of the Synclavier can make some really FAT sounds.  It reminds me heavily of the Oberheim Matrix 1000 I used to own.  I sold it because the Synclavier emulated it's sounds so well and was infinitely more powerful.
